The "St. Vineri" care center for elderly people is situated 100m from the "Sf. Vineri" cathedral in Zalau and 300m from Zalau County Hospital.

The center was opened on March 9, 2009, when the first person was admitted. Accommodation capacity is of 84 people and can be extended up to 110 people, and the rooms are equipped with one, two, or three beds.

Patients have, both in bed and bathroom, a staff call system in case of emergency or need.
To avoid any fire hazards, the rooms are equipped with smoke sensors.
For patient comfort, the rooms are equipped with television sets and on request the air conditioning can be turned on.

The care center has a private clinic, that is outfitted with:

• a laboratory for medical imaging, radiology, osteodensitometry, ultrasound
• specialized outpatient
• family medicine
• dental care
• medical devices
• a pharmacy
